Wireguard VPN on macos
Setup
Open the WireGuard application
/Applications/WireGuard
Click + and select Add Empty Tunnel
Bottom-left
Hotkey: ⌘N
Type a name in the Name field
Middle-top
Highlight and copy the Public key
Directly below the Name field
Submit a request to your administrator with your public key
Your administrator will respond with the configuration
Paste configuration into WireGuard
Below the private key
Click Save
Bottom-right
Click Activate
Middle, above Peer
Tips
• Never share your private key with anyone!
• To quickly connect/disconnect, click on the WireGuard icon in the Menu Bar and select your connection.
• To stay connected all of the time, check the On-Demand boxes in the configuration
• When you are connected to the VPN, servers will not appear in the Finder Sidebar. You must connect manually with Finder > Go > Connect to server (⌘K).
